Silversands and Progressive affiliate are scammers! Do not get caught out! I would like to share an experience and warn people on the following companies and websites: www.progressiveaffiliate.com www.silversands.co.za (There are many alias for this company) Progressive Affiliates I believe forms part of the following company: http://www.itm.co.za/ We (Awesome Web Development) entered into a contract with Progressive affiliate to display advertising for Silversands. The deal was that you get paid for the first two months and then for the next two months you earn commission on sales. Well the first month went well and we received our money, 2 days late, however we did receive it. For the next 2 months we have been trying to get the balance of our advertising costs for the second month, which has never been paid. We went to Silversands directly to ask them if they could/would assist with us retrieving our money, as their reputation and name was been used. These were our affiliate accounts and when we approached Silversands and supplied our affiliate codes and info, as they requested, all they did was send us this reply: “We have contacted the affiliate, he said he’ll get back to you.†This is the way that Silversands deals with their affiliates, hands off and very unprofessional. When following up on the outstanding money with Mark from progressive affiliate we have been told many lines including: * “We changed accounting systems so there has been a mess they are rectifying it and we will get you paid.†* “One of the companies Director’s has passed away and he was the signatory on the accountâ€. What Mark you need a signatory for an internet payment? * Here is a classic reply to one of the emails although I must mention that over a dozen emails have gone unanswered: “Sorry for delay I’m busy following up with the accounts department.†* Why did they go un answered? I quote “I left my lap top at home!†For what 3 months? Each and every time we have called which is over a dozen times we are told we will receive the money within a couple of days. This to date has not happened and I would like to warn every webmaster and publisher that is out there that these guys are a bunch of scammers and rip people off taking advantage of webmasters and publishers alike. They are full of stories and do not deliver. They are a SCAM…
