    URL: ForumPosts.net

Up for sale is everything you see: design, forum, content and management script and URL. Contacts of posters will be given.

    Revenue Details

In March, the total revenue was $1078 (proof provided on request). This was achieved through little advertising (around 4 posts on forums - free.), orders from past customers that were satisfied with the service given and presumeably word of mouth.

There is a lot of room for expansion with this service, and thus a great ROI - paid advertising on forums, link partnerships could heavily increase the revenue.

    Description

ForumPosts.net is an exciting and well-established forum service, having a good reputation throughout the website and a long line of customers under our belts.

We contracted a PHP/MySQL programmer to make a fully functioning order and management script, allowing several things:-

    • Coupon management, deductable before the client pays for a package
    • Fully PayPal integrated, requiring IPN notification to the server from PayPal to ensure the client has paid
    • Staff management, allowing posters to sign up to jobs and informing the client when it is completed.
    • Registration function, storing all details of customers so you can email around offers

This script is a custom script, and is sold as unique - it will not be sold again. It allows for easy and hassle free management of the business, and screen shots can be provided if requested.

We currently offer a host of innovative posting solutions which are well received by customers; the range is seen to reflect the quality of our service. 2 different types of posting is offered (allowing scope for custom offers - which has been the case in the past) and a recent introduction which has proven successful is the service entitled "Signature posting" which acts as marketing for startup forums.

    Other Details

We are sorting out any order which is placed before the ownership of ForumPosts.net transferrs, meaning no hassle for the new owner.

All the contacts of posters previously working for us will be given, as well as the forum database which comes with the site. We have several people interested in purchasing from us - one is interested in a $250 monthly contract, another in the "Community Explosion" package and several others in custom deals.

Again, contact details will be included in the sale.

    Price (or starting Bid)

$2000 USD (Less than 1 months revenue). Please bid in multiples of $250.

    BIN

$8000 USD (Near 7 months revenue).

Please feel free to contact me either via PM, MSN (sales@forumposts.net) or Email (sales@forumposts.net).

    Thanks.

I have no knowledge of this whatsoever - it was bought with what I considered a unique design. I will contact the previous owner, and if need be reinstate the copyright.

Care to link to the URL of the template on oswd.org?

    Hi,

You refer to the customers who are 'interested' or will buy your services, could you PM/post the current number of customers, the plans they have bought and the length of contracts you have established.

    Thanks

    What's the net income?

Usually these services pay posters up to 80% for the jobs.

ForumPosts.net has a slightly different way of doing things with the posters which is both more beneficial to the posters, and to the business. It would be hard for Jon to give you an exact profit amount, as monies have been re-invested, used to pay me, the posters, the management script etc. However, it is not done on a post by post basis where the company sees a minute portion of what's being charged to the customer like I've seen from other forum posting services. Also, the new owner would have the say on what will be paid to posters, if they will do any posting themselves and how they want to work the numbers. At it's current state however, I do know that the profit margin is much higher than 20%.

@ispza: I doubt if Jon will want to post very many details about current customers, past customers or sales leads publicly, confidentiality to the clients is part of the services ForumPosts.net offers. I'm sure he can send you a PM with a few more details though. He's in GMT timezone so you will probably won't hear from him until tomorrow. Also, the idea was that the current contracts that customers have already paid for, ForumPosts.net will sort out so the new owner does not need to fulfill past orders, or something appropriate to the new owners wishes could be worked out.

    Edit:
The website is currently a PR 5 and predicts to remain a PR5 according to:

Aaawww.... you're selling already? You seem to be doing good! You've bought this site just a few months back, and you've made a few changes since then.

Good luck on the sale though! :)

Jonathan has spoken to me about continuing on ForumPosts.net with the new owner, and I am willing to discuss this with the new owner to work out whatever works best for them. Happy Bidding. :)

I have contacted the high bidder for a quick sale, and as yet no response.

BIN is therefore lowered to $2500 for ForumPosts.net, and current monthly revenue is $480.

How is $2000 USD less than one months revenue if one months revenue is
    $1078?

I fluffed up - it was amended in the second post. :)

Expenses for that month (excluding fixed costs like the management script) were $97.
