Profitable Adsense Words?

Here is a question that I been thinking about for quite some time now, hopefully one of you more experienced members can answer it or at least help me understand it a little better. Now I understand there are certain adsense words that are more expensive then others (i.e. credit or home) My question is this: Let say my blog deals with credit. Are all the adsense ads on my blog worth the same or are they smart priced or what's the deal with that? How would a publisher get top dollars for certain keywords... Do the publisher for example have to own the domain "credit" in order to get the actual going ad rate for that word or someone with a domain with a mix of words that include "credit" would also enjoy the going rate on that keyword?

your domain wouldn't weigh in on the equation. you would need good content on whatever big KW you are aiming at (so that the relevant ads are served). You're also going to need traffic. Lots of it.

Well yeah I agree that content is king but are you saying that a site with more traffic gets pay higher per click?

no, the amount of money you get per click is based on what advertisers are willing to pay for the lead. for example: 'payday loans' will likely pay better that 'brown coffee cups'

downside is that the first term is a lot more competitive, so with the higher payout comes greater competition

Adsense takes a lot of things into account to determine the ads shown on your site, the only way to be sure that you can get the highest paying clicks is pretty much to have one of the top sites in that field, this is partly because Google allows advertisers to choose site placements directly so the most desirable sites have the highest competition for a given topic. Secondly, other factors such as your visitor's geographic location, your ad click through ratio and site quality (according to Google) have an effect.
