Yahoo Answers is nofollow, you won't get any backlinks from them. It's really not worth it, I had a level three account and hadn't spammed at all, just left a few links here and there, and got suspended. After that, I got suspended from Yahoo Answers if I so much as made a new account.
my first try was in 2006, I was banned and my real yahoo account was suspended indiffinitely. now I still try Yahoo answers and get a decent amount of traffic, but it took me 3 years to have 50+ uniques going in with hundreds of answers,. so yes it requires a lot of patience and work and it takes time, not ideal for inexperience ones. the threshold is very strict and you can loose a yahoo account if other spammers take turns in bringing you down
Well, Yahoo answers is a great way of driving traffic to your website but it really requires patience and work to post genuinely helpful answers because its the only way to get creditability there. For faster results , posting in related forums is a nice way to attract traffic. But in either case, SPAMMING is the thing to be very much careful about and should be taken very seriously. After a lots of effort and time, if you get banned then its very painful and hurts a lot to your online presence.
Yahoo! Answers is pretty cool, I had someone answer a question about how to beat a game I had and I was pretty excited because of the traffic I received.
You make it look like it's not really worth the time. Getting banned and remaking a new account consume too much time. Since it's a nofollow so it's not really worth it in my opinion?
But you may not necessarily rank well for this page you make, whereas Yahoo Answers pages seem to rank very well and clearly get alot of traffic which could be sent to you. Here's a better idea: do both.
I've noticed that the yahoo answers pages often crop up on a Google search, so you may get some traffic via google search -> yahoo answers -> your site. Sounds like a lot of hard work for little traffic, but if you have the time its a cheap low cost way to get some extra traffic. Just so long as you post good quality answers yuo should be ok. I guess no one said that building traffic was easy!
Yeah, Lofty. You are absolutely right and I agree that building traffic is surely not easy but people online have started spamming the Yahoo answers due to this very reason and are getting banned sooner or later. It surely requires a lot of care as you never know when you enter the spamming zone!! Best of luck guys with Yahoo! Answers.
I agree with everything said above. It gets me targeted traffic, but hasn't converted too well. I get traffic to certain sites daily from old answers on YA. As long as I keep getting traffic I am happy, because you never know when you will make a sale. And since the traffic comes from old posts you don't have to worry about wasting time.
Yahoo Answers is not for spammers, that is the point at which many people go wrong and end up with banned accounts.
I love Yahoo Answers because people reply with the benefit of their personal experiences/feelings. Instead of only thinking of spamming how about asking questions on Yahoo Answers to create buzz around a topic?
look at this thread, are people only here..or on the internet to drop a plug for their website. spam is spam and should be banned on all sites
Have not been formally "banned", but constantly get the "Coffee Break" message as of late. It's as good as getting banned, as you can't submit anything. If you are posting in a popular niche question, the traffic is indeed "insane". Conversions? That depends on your product/service. Much like other social networking sites. If it is conversions you are after, find a better way to advertise (search marketing, etc.)
i use to get good traffic from yahoo answers but not anymore. report monkeys have spoilt it.. any other good sites similar to yahoo answers?
