the way most people view teenagers these days are we are all criminals, cheeky, disrespectful or lazy. Although i guess i am biased but i beleive this isn't always the case. yes, there are teenagers out there that do fit into those catagories what we must remember is that the majority of people my age(16) are focusing on being responsible and mature enough to decide what we want to do with the rest of our lives and working towards getting us where we want to be. As a young person it is difficult to make the transition from child to adult and can be a very stressful experience for both child and parent. this stress can cause friction which causes more stress turning it into a vicious cycle. I think the media contribute to this profiling as programmes often portray teenagers in a bad way. although there are programmes which send that message, there are others which show the good side of young people that we dont often see.
I understand what the OP is saying and I agree to a point as well. Though without structuring your posts like Kerosene said it will become harder for people to read it all. Luckily the post was not that long. =)
