Hello, DP. I've recently come across a lot of free time (I blame moving being easier than expected), so what better way to spend it than writing? For the past decade or so, I've been writing professionally for various websites, magazines, and newspapers, as well as the occasional contribution to radio/TV. As long as your project doesn't involve extensive technical knowledge of a specific subject (and by extensive I mean things like the ability to recite the periodic table off the top of my head) I'm more than willing to take it on. I also spent a few years working in PR, so press releases and such are also something I'm familiar with. Since there's a huge variety of topics and various work depending on what the article is/is about, rates will depend on the type of assignment, but are also entirely negotiable.
