I am willing to trade some articles for someone to help me with a website (ie- hold my hand and do it for me because I know nothing about building a website) I would like a nice one. I have a googlepages (see sig) site that I like the look and overall feel of it, but am at the point in my career where I really need something more professional. I've managed to build a nice client base without one, but figured one certainly couldn't hurt...Once its built, I should be able to maintain it as I know *enough* HTML to manipulate it and add new content. I don't need anything flashy, but at the same time I don't know exactly what I DO want (just being honest)- have an idea, but don't know how to verbalize so I would have to find a site that has it and let you see for yourself. I honestly don't know how much this should cost ( I can't imagine too much, simply because I don't want a lot of bells and whistles) I want potential clients to be able to contact me directly form the page, something neater for my writing samples pages (i.e. have them click on a title and be able to read the article perhaps) have my blog somehow incorporated to it...I can't imagine I would want anything more difficult than that. I expect a fair trade, dollar for dollar. But I am not a cheap writer. My average rate is between 10-20 cents per word. For the sake of argument, I'll split it down the middle and say 15 cents. I have a Master's degree in English and too many years of experience! I can write about most any topic under the sun, but tend to stay away from gaming, web development and the like, simply because its not an area I am even remotely knowledgeable about. I am thinking maybe 5-10 articles? (500 word average). I am hoping to have our trade completed within 2 weeks? You have paid work to do and so do I... I know this was long, but am doing my best to verbalize what I want, and trying to give as much information as possible to help you know if its something you would be interested in.
