Anyone here a professional SEO? I have an interview for an "SEO Search Specialist" position at a local company and really would love the job. Anything I should mention during the interview to make myself a better candidate for the job?

Some things to remember for interviews in general -

o Dress smart - whether you're going to be wearing jeans and t-shirts in the job role, always dress up for the interview
o Make sure you know you're stuff about the company - a quick look on the website should suffice
o Have some questions to ask - where they want the company to go, do they have plans for expansion, etc

Not specific to any job, but should help.

"The proof is in the pudding" If you have gotten any site to rank well in the serps, that is a huge plus. Working at seo.com, all of the stuff I do is based on performance. I could wear a suit and tie every day, but if I don't get results, that doesn't matter a bit.

Don't reply much more, and go deep into the question.
Answer those questions only those are going to be answered.
    No aggression.

You don't need to memorized all things about SEO. The important is how you expressed yourself for a certain question. Dont' forget to dress formaly that can attract your possible employer.

many of my co-workers here in our company are professional seo specialist..

for me, the important thing that you should mention during an interview are the

things that you have done.. your past projects which result to a success..

prove them that your great through your evidence.. through your records..

and your works will speak for yourself..

Yep, Jessie has put it nice way.

Ask yourself, why they are hiring you and what they are looking for ? and than tell them putting that in mind. Ofcourse past work is important. Make sure you convince them that you are a knowledgeable person.

Before you go there - make a list of the seo jobs that you have done or have experience in: Social Bookmarking, Copywriting, Blogging, and so on and so forth.

I did went for an interview sometime ago.

They told me they don't need me as they can't pay me even 10% of what I am earning online. :D

Still they took my card and told me that they will let me know when there is something much bigger. I said okay and they did contacted me later for a nice project.

So leave a good impression and be clear on all aspects.

If they asked you something and you don't know about it, feel free to say "I don't know but I am much very willing to learn and improved myself in that particular subject".. Because interviewee know if you are just pretending and they might reject you for that because from the start you are not honest to them and to yourself.
