This is not the case. Submitting to search engines is essentially useless. The biggest thing in SEO is genuine, relevant backlinks from authority sites.
I said "one" of the biggest things in SEO. Duhhhh... I never said submission is #1 in SEO. If you don't submit your site to search engines, how are they going to find your sites exact URL without backlinks?

It actually is. Then why do people even submit their sites to search engines when they can just simply post their links anywhere.
