Hello friends, I am searching a professional news portal that is automated with rss fetching systems integrated with wordpress with professional themes like wpnewspaper. Do you know or seen an automated news portal that have these features? What systems they use? is it hard to do it?
That one is not automated, or if it is, it's one hell of a job. I have a theme similar to that, and it is not automated out of the box, I suppose you could set it up to be so. I also have a news aggregator here, that is designed specifically to display RSs feeds. Something like that ?
yep l know, wpadvenced theme is not automated in gabfire host, but l meant that theme is good and sites working automated with themes like that. I meant its very important to integrate themes with automating system. U are fetching images, integrating images with special areas, thumb views, integrating with widgets... I mean if you know any good system integrated good with theme and automation...
Sorry. I like the Pop Urls Clone, but other than that, I'm not very big on the automated blog thing. As far as I know, you would have to manually set up a theme to perform the way you want it. It can be done, it will just take your time and dedication to do it. I have never seen a News or Magazine theme that is set up to autoblog right out of the box. Considering the amount of display options to make a theme like function properly and keep the layout, I would say that automation would be a waste of a theme like that since you can't predict the content if you are scraping feeds, and feeds won't be configured to provide you with post thumb nails and featured images like theme like that need for the layout. People usually use themes like that when they are actually blogging.....writing their own information, picking their own images and have original content to display. Like I said, you could probably set it up, but not with the featured images to match the post sized properly which would make using the theme a waste.
Wow ! ..and that's all with feeds ? That's a good job. How do you get the images sized properly to fit the theme's functions ?
l managed it with costum codes, fetched images takes as thumbnails in the theme... nicedone l think.. I am not coder but a friend of my helped me. yes, News Portal is all automated, automated feeds, magazinenal posts, videos, images.... You dont touch it again after u install it one time...
