Buying Professional design for a new site - challenge 1

I need a new website designing for a professional business that provides various corporate services. Do not think blog. Do not think twitter or social networking. Think professional – corporate – business.

I have a few designs that I like. The following sites have a good general layout on the home page-

    camerasdot co dot uk
    jvceshop dot co dot uk
    pcworld dot co dot uk

I like the small header with room for a logo on the right. There is no point having a site with a huge banner across the top
I like primary links at the top of the page. These could have sub navigation as seen on
    I like left hand navigation
I like right hand sections so we can add links, adverts, brief content sections etc.

The home page will have a magazine style layout with different sections,
The internal pages will keep the same theme (left hand nav, header nav and right hand sections) but each page will be more text based and will not require sections within.
    For example-
http://www.pcworld.co.uk - Home page supports various sections
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/editorial/whatever-happens - Internal pages offer different layout for more text based content.
    Navigation
There should be two main navigation areas-

    1. Top Navigation. Primary links that lead directly to internal pages
    2. Left hand menu – This will be the main site navigation. There should be a clean easy to use expanding menu. This is essential. The site navigation must be very good and not ‘jumpy’ or messy. It should be smooth but quick when people use the menu.
    For example
    Service 1
    Service 2
    -Further Services
    -More Service
    -Extra Services
    - - Bonus Services
    - - Yet More Services
    Service 3
    Service 4
    Service 5
If you can suggest a better solution let me know.

    Colours.

Follow the examples in the two sites provided. Clean designs with red, black and grey. Back grounds should be white or very soft grey. Three colours will be enough.

When we have a satisfactory design created I will need the basic design recreating with different colours (blue, black and grey – orange, black and grey etc.)

When completed I will own all rights to the design and future use.

I am used to using drupal and WP so I would prefer a site design that is coded for use with either of these. Please do not reply that you can do the PSD but not the code. I want someone to take care of the entire job.

Does this sound like a job for you? Do you have history on DP? (no offence but the job is not available to newbies with no itrader) Do you have examples of your existing work?

I look forward to hearing from you.

I would strongly suggest you to use Joomla for this purpose. It would work smooth as well as help you to customize the site.

I do not mind what CMS I use. I have knowledge of Drupal and WP but if Joomla is better and someone convinces me of that then so be it.

Please note - I will need this installing with CMS. Do not just reply that you can do CSS and HTML.

Joomla is very easy to use.
Why don't you make your site yourself and hire somebody for logo designing.
Just try it. A lot of time will be wasted in explaining all this to the person who ever you hire for this.
Plus you said you have some know how of drupal. Believe me Joomla is much easier.
    Hope this helps

Nice idea but i have all the design skills of a stick. Not only that but I do not have the time.

Remember please when getting in touch to let me know prices, time scales, portfolio and what CMS will be used.

    Just a question -
Do you just need the CMS Setup and a template or the entire content to be added as well?

    I need-
Site designed with home page layout and internal page layout
    CMS installed
Site configured - clean urls, SEO packs, contact form, the usual stuff
I can provide basic content to get the site up and running. You will not need to write any content.
