Not bad prices for copywriting, though a couple quick notes (grammatically speaking) that might help out with getting some customers if you're running a good writing service as good grammar is getting hard to come by these days: 1. When looking at stating a quantifier (for example, "300 words") followed by an adj/n clause (for example, "minimum article") you generally shouldn't end the quantifier with a plural "s" (Making the phrase "300 word minimum article" instead of "300 words minimum article) 2. Based upon subject/verb agreements, if you want to describe your writers as having the ability to cover a wide range of topics then the phrase "our pool of writers covers" might want to be changed to "our pool of writers cover" or even adding in a modal such as "our pool of writers can cover" in order to mean that your group of writers have the ability to write on a wide range of subjects. Otherwise you simply are implying that your writers come from a wide range of fields, not that they have the actual ability to write articles about it. While it's true that differences between British and American English do afford some grammatical discrepancies between the two forms of the language these are some general rules that apply universally to English and might help a bit in client conversions. I'm not saying this because I operate a content creation business of my own (which I do, but I do not handle copywriting like you - only article development) but because I've been an English teacher for some years and have been helping out government organizations and multi-national organizations develop language skills globally for quite some time now. Small mistakes may be small, but as I've told employees of companies like Blizzard and Google and even the Center for Disease Control they can make all the difference in overall presentation. Good luck, and I hope your business goes great!
Whilst I am not a native speaker myself (even though I have graduated the University of Portsmouth UK), I am the proud owner of this business. Our office is located in Europe. Thank you for the kind words about our pricing, they are possible only because we have a unique business model which is empowered by our strong organizational skills. Even though these prices are applicable to the general SEO content writing services which we provide, our copywriting prices are also quite competitive. (pm me your inquiry and you will get a personal detailed offer) Even though I admit to have personally written the promo thread myself, I am not involved in any of the writing/proofreading/editing processes that take place behind the scenes of skontent.com I am not involved in the sales (apart from posting a promo every now and then), customer support and organizational processes as well, as I have staff that handles this. And you are right, there is a difference between content writing and copywriting. The latter requires an adept level of knowledge on English Language, which can be provided only by professional writers....and not by people that are self proclaimed ones...being with professional experience in the field of High school teaching for example (no offense, I strongly revere people that are good at working with kids). Furthermore, I believe that it is critical for the owner of the business to be in direct communication with his clients, as this is critical for the business to grow. It makes you learn a lot, and helps you improve your product mix and organizational skills. Bad word of mouth can ruin a business. The same goes for "black pr" and envious competitors which are struck by lack of work and have the capacity to write e.g. a 320 words long incongruous post on e.g. a sales thread. I am sure you are perfectly aware of all this, as an ingenious person like you, who is benevolent enough to share his professional know-how with people from Google and Blizzard, you must be at least 15 years ahead from the rest of the people on this board. I myself am a humble entrepreneur with few small deals which I have closed on DP and SP, (totalling around half a mil over the last 3 years), and have only appeared few times in success stories blogs for sites which I built from scratch and sold for xxx,xxx (e.g. this one) , but nevertheless I truly hope that with the insightful recommendations which you made, one day I will be where you stand right now Thank you for the great recommendation, and I hope to be hearing from you soon again. You are welcome to make any and all remarks about grammar mistakes which I made in this post. Regards, Nikola Alexandrov Skontent.com
