I have started my blog a month a ago.
It ran to a peak traffic once, around 800 in a day and went back to normal right now( around 12 a day).
I am hosting it on wordpress, but it borders me.
Because I don't know how to edit the surface and install the plug-in.

    Here is my questions:

    1. which plug-in is best for word press?
My friend said I must have a domain name before I edit anything.

    2. how many entry on page is optimal?

    3. how to edit the interface?

    4. Any suggestion for newbie bloggers?

My traffic flow is totally depends on the tag.
I don't know anything about the promotion or advertising.
I read a journal from problogger.net, he said a blog usually takes 3 months or so to get more traffic. I am so upset for my doings now:confused: , but at the same time I know I need the preservance toword success.
I am a poor student, I got no personal income.:(
I really want to do a great one to backup my finance.
But I don't know how to start, please mercy me and show me the way out.
    Thanks!!

and here is my blog: oddthings.wordpress.com/
Please feel free to give comment about everything and my niche:)

Make comments in related blogs. The bloggers will follow your link in, love your blog, and then link to you, sending in their readers.

    To increase traffic Hmm?
Build back links, good unique posts are quite helpful in attracting visitors and links, and linkbating... ;) (Do a google search for that, or read threads on this forum.)
    Bye :)

    1. which plug-in is best for word press?
As far as I know, there is no way to install plugin on blogs hosted at wordpress.com

    2. how many entry on page is optimal?

Depends what type of blog you are running. If it has tons of media like videos, 5 should be enough - to reduce to loading time. If it's text based, you can make it 10 or more.

    3. how to edit the interface?
Do you mean the theme? Login to your WordPress.com dashboard and check it at at the "Presentation" tab. As far as I know, it is impossible to install theme downloaded from else where for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. You can only use the theme offered.

    4. Any suggestion for newbie bloggers?

I see you start this thread in the "AdSense" section. So I assume that you want to use AdSense on it. As far as I know, WordPress.com doesn't allow any javascript. So you MIGHT not be able to use AdSense on it.

You see, I'm using a lot "As far as I know" - I have left my blog hosted at WordPress.com for a few months and I don't know how it is doing now. So my suggestions or answer provided is based on what I know when I use it few months ago. If there is any mistakes, please feel free to correct me.

As others have pointed out, you won't be able to run adsense at wordpress.com. If you want a free place where you can run adsense go to blogger instead.

Don't be to surprised to have traffic jumping up and down when your site is starting out. A few days at 800 probably just means someone linked to your blog. Now if you go an entire month at 800 page views per day and then it drops down to 12, there is something strange going on. Don't ever assume you have grown your traffic until you maintain the rate for a month or so.

Judging by the difference in English on the blog and what you posted here, I doubt that you are writing the content on the blog. I'm guessing that it is coming from AP news or something like that. If this is the case you are going to have a hard time building any traffic from search engines because all of your content is duplicate.

A bigger problem is the fact that you might get your whole site taken down for copyright violation. If you are actually writing the articles yourself, my apologies. They just seemed like they were written by a different person than the person who started this post.
