I have been studying marketing affiliate products with PPC However, I thought adwords had a policy where your destination URL had to match your Display URL with all the affiliate URL being coded for tracking how do you get around this?
Well, you don't have to be exact same urls. If your affiliate url is http://yourdomain.com/aff=?no9876, you can put as your display url just yourdomain.com. You don't have to put display url the same as affiliate url. Only domain have to same.
I underrstand this , it is not exactly what I asked The URLs in popular affiliate programs are not true URLs but tracing URLs Look at the URLs for MoreNiche or Market Leverage The display URL would be : www.yoursearchprofits.com but a URL market leverage might give would be: bargainscentralweb.com/a.php?a=CD13376&b=16730&d=0&l=0&o=&p=0&c=2543&s1=&s2=&s3=&s4=&s5= so how do people use Adwords to promote products on sites with these types of tracking IDs
They use domain name only. Url:bargainscentralweb.com/a.php?a=CD13376&b=16730&d=0&l=0&o=&p=0&c=2543&s1=&s2=&s3=&s4=&s5= Display url:bargainscentralweb.com
I know what you're getting at mnymkr... For sites that have a tracking link url which is completely different than their destination url, I use my own landing page. I am not a big fan of direct linking anyway. But I have seen some get away with direct linking through AW - I have no idea how they do it!
I just tried this and I got an Innaccurate Display URL from Adwords so this is obviously not what they do any other suggestions? How to turn a tracking url from affiliate programs to proper adwords URLs
