While running a Product Sales Report, we're getting the error "this field is not modifiable" Has anyone had this before? Any suggestions?
forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=16560 How would I know if my database files were locked? How can I unlock them?
I also cannot print invoices... "Printing could not be completed because there are no records in this file or your password does not allow access to field definitions or scripts" Last Friday, we deleted approximately 4000 records (everything with a termination date prior to 1/1/2006 and status set to Closed). The only two things that have happened between now and when this worked last week were the deletion and the new year. I can't imagine there is a Y2K7 bug, so could the deletion have made this mess? Or is something else going on? Anyone?
You have a backup copy of database. Take a copy of your current database and do an update from to same version. I had to do that once to help correct some files but ensure your doing it to a copy of production and not production itself. Its a shot http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=171378&highlight=update+from+to+same+version
ColinR: how do you do an update from to same version? I finally fixed the issue. After shutting down FM Server, I made a backup copy of the database files and I recovered every file under C:\Program Files\Optigold ISP. After renaming the new files (tedious), I opened Optigold under FM Pro and was able to run the reports as well as print invoices. Started FM Server back up and everything is working as it did before. Thanks mcolvin and ColinR for you help
just have your files in c:\program files\optigold isp\ the setup program should detect them and ask if you want to upgrade Test it first
