It's not just a 1 step process my friend.... You need to do alot of research on your market, do alot of copywriting and GOOD copywriting. The next thing is your product must be excellent and noteworthy to be able to have affiliates send promotionals for it.
A well rounded answer is worth an entire book, but try reading Blue Ocean Strategy (the methodology isn't completely practical, but it may nevertheless give you some inspirations).
