Is it necessary to keep 250 words content/product description for each product for eCommerce site?

    Hello Experts,

    I have an eCommerce site which has more than 500 product for several categories. I would like to know, is it necessary to keep 250 or more words content for every products? Some SEO experts suggest me to keep more that 250 words content/product description for each product.

    It would be helpful to hearing some suggestions from SEO experts.

    I have a lot of web e-commerce, I always write some articles in the web with keywords I choose (not on product description, let product description short), if you not do this, it's very difficult to reach top position on the search engine - based on my personal experience

    Well, i thing yes, it is necessary because whenever the visitors came down the e-commerce sites they are much more confused about the product they are buying giving a short description in about 250 or more words will help the viewers in their decision. And we all know happy viewers came back often.
