Visit the category where your website would be listed and use the suggest URL link at the top of the page.

If there isn't one, drill down.

A very easy alternative is to simply not bother!

Seriously, the queue where your site will be placed is a FULLY OPTIONAL feature for editors to use. Many do not use it what-so-ever...

Even if you would submit to a category where the editor does use it, that does not mean they will any time soon... they only need to edit once every three months, and many editors have several categories. You could get lucky... but again, even if you have a very active editor, you can still skip the submission... many editors have access to each category, and many of those never use the queue.

All in all, your chances of getting a listing is pretty equal to submitting and not submitting... so *shrug*

That's perfect, the listings haven't been worth anything since 1998.

I actually dont mind webmasters having that opinion as it reduces spam in the suggestion pool :) Im delighted to know that the very people we are building for, the web surfers, are still using our site in great volumes :)

Strange... that must be why the alexa rank and PR of the ODP have both dropped, and it also must explain why all of my listed sites get 0 traffic from the ODP *shrug*

Thanks for the clarification! I'd love to see your source for such information.
