hey, best way to promote your blog is just start of with SMO..

 

Spread the word, while links do help it also helps if you actually have an interested core group so they can basically "spread the word"

 

Directory Submission, Forum postings and Social bookmarkings are the best way in promoting your blog.

 

social media - facefook , twitter etc. One good way is to create a facebook fanpage for your site, and tap into your existing facebook connections.

 

Do forum and blog posting and also comment on other blogs and forums, join the facobook group and twitter, put your signature in e-mail and submit your blog to blog directories.

 

Link Build! Thats the only way. Try to comment on high pr do follow high traffic blogs. It works like a miracle on my blog. I get so much hits.

 

Its about adding quality content on your blog, bookmarking it, getting one way links for your blog home page and internal pages from other trusted domain in your niche

First thing is to write the unique contents (ie the contents which is written by you and not copied from any website).
contents is the only thing going to help your site promotion .
once you did that your contents will get indexed in google within 2 to 5 minutes after you published new contents
