Hello im quite new to clickbank and afiilite marketing, but i think i have a small problem. I have started an account on google adwords and have been promoting a fat loss product. I got 33 clicks the first night and i checked my clickbank and i have 5 sales and 99$ (yay!). But then the next night i got over a hundred clicks and i did not make one sale apparently or i didn't receive commission for it, which is not good because it cost me 110$ for those clicks. And then the next day early morning i saw i had a 26$ payment in my clickbank, so i went to look at my google adwords account, but i had not gotten one click since the hundred last night, then two hours later i got another 26$ payment, but again not any new clicks. so i was hoping i would receive my payments later in the day but those were the last ones i got, i also got another 100 clicks tonight and still have not recieved any commission and that was five hours ago. ugh help im losing all my money lol
Sometimes clickbank has delays with the tracking. Also, some customers don't purchase right away, they view the page, and come back later in a few hours/days and make a purchase. Since they have your affiliate id cookied to them, you still get the commission for it.
Well the first scenario, about clickbank delaying the sales, is very unlikely. And when it happens, you usually get the sales after an hour or two. Still, this is very unlikely. What happens to your customers is that they come back later to make a purchase.
ugg its been two days and still no reply from clickbank and still no commission, i f i dont make my money back im gunna be pissed off
deos anyone have anymore advice? im 200$ out and i dont know what to do! will i ever make my money back?
It's the holidays. Stop what you are doing and give them a chance to catch up. Most places run on very few staff during the holidays. And there are not guarantees in ppc. That's just how it is.
ok thankyou for your guys help, i just feel really confused about the whole thing, i mean a hunderd clicks and not one sale seems wrong to me, but i guess thats just how these things go right
Pay per click is a very tricky game. You have to really know what you are doing to make some good profits.
PPC also is very dependant on how targetted your market is and how well conversion is for the landing page. A lot of factors to take into account, but nothing is immediate. you need to be patient, a lot of us here have had plenty of obstacles before being 'comfortable' good luck.
i haven't really got the answer im looking for . during those hundred clicks did i make a sale and not receive the commission? how is that possible
The most probable answer is, that you didn't make a sale at all. In those hundred clicks you didn't make a sale.
lol ok there we go, well that sucks, and kinda strange, maybe ill move away from clickbank and try commisionjunction. maybe
It's not unusual at all to have one day converting at 1:20, and another day converting at 1:200. It happens, don't get discouraged. The holiday season is also very strange, and you might get unusual spikes of traffic.
Yeah that happens if I was you I will move away from PPC because I can tell you don't know what you doing. You can make a lot of money in clickbank you just need to learn the in's and out's. So yeah you most likely didn't get a sale. Sorry to say it but, clickbank wouldn't delay for that long.
You can't predict the behavior of people. Anyway the cookie is for 60 days, as long as they buy within the 60 days, you will get the commission.
ah.... to be young and restless, looking for piece-of-pie type of overnight profits, and getting frustrated at the first attempt - having just realized internet marketing isn't a linear money-making machine.
Yes, also bear in mind that with Adwords it can take a bit of money to help the account settle in. What I normally do is bid higher than i intend too, and then once i get the positions that I want i start dropping the bid by 0.01 and still manage to keep the same positions. Also make sure that you are collecting email address, so you are not losing all of the visitors you get.
