Hi, I have a problem that should be rather simple to the average WP user, but I am getting stressed out over this. It does not matter what theme I use I always seem to have this problem. I am trying to create simple niche websites with 5 pages with those pages targeting specific keywords. When I make "pages" it create topics at the top of the pages ...with a limited number of pages available..I have used about, contact, and privacy policy as the 1st three....so instead of using the "pages" creation, I started using "categories" because it created a different list of links across as another menu. Well in doing this, it archived my articles I posted as categories and when you click on the article under the category link (from the front end) it gives a 404 error. Ok...so I tried to delete these under the categories list..however it left one topic as a category which will not let me delete it. So, now I tried to create posts instead and they are nowhere to be found.......Im so confused I tried to go into the menu area and see how to create a menu for the keyword topics, but doesnt seem to make sense....... Please help!
"it create topics at the top of the pages" I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this. Can you post an example of this happening? It sounds like maybe you are having all your pages automatically show up as your navigation menu, which is the default on many themes. You need to create a custom menu which will override this. But I might be misunderstanding your issue.
