Hello, I have an Asus brand laptop with the following configuration:
A6 quadcore AMD processor, ATI Radeon HD 7670M 1GB and 8GB of RAM.
However difficulties in rendering movies in HD.
For a film of 40 minutes, rendering takes over 3 hours.
    Is this normal?

Is your laptop support with HD technology? Also, you can try to add some HD technology software to reduce your rendering process.

That is alarmingly slow and must be terribly annoying for you to deal with.

How old is this computer? Is it a refurbished computer or a new one? Do you still have warranty on it? I would recommend talking to Asus if you bought it from them about what the problem is. How big are these files?

One of the things that determines the speed of movie encoding is the program doing the encoding. An inefficient program can easily take 4 times the movie length to encode it.
