Problems with Indexed pages

SO my site is fairly new (the sports bet site in my footer) and i ahve gone on today to my horror that i currently only have 6 indexed pages in google. I had around 50 only the other day.

Also checking my backlinks have all gone, again with around 50 or so the other day.

Have i done something wrong? Why has this happened?!?

 

check your backlinks ! may be they are not good!

Submit a sitemap to google webmaster tools. And How many backlinks did you get before now?

 

i was around 50 backlinks before now. i spent a bit of money buying some and others are from things like digg.

is it common for them to drop away and come back for new sites?

i wouldnt normally be too fussed but as ive invested money into the site and with the update only a few weeks away i want to get all my stuff in place as it were.

 

I believe you still have to work hard -- SEO takes time.

I can see only one backlink here chaostrivia.com

50 backlinks still not a big deal anyway. The harder you work the more you get.

 

i know 50 isn't a lot but i was going for quality links rather then quantity, so they are kinda important.

 

So, a link dofollow link to your site is still there or it got removed??

Here man let me break it down for ya...

You get relevant back links pointing to your site with whatever "anchor text keywords" in your niche
(DONT over due it with the same Keywords or you will get burnt... alternate them)

But How?... Directories, Articles, Bookmarks, Videos, Blogs, Forums , ect ect

But where? ... Here from other webmasters In the link sales section (privately)

Now if your in a rush for traffic then i suggest using Google "adwords"

This will help your site be found by not only the SEs but also visitors and will help increase your indexed pages
as well as build quality traffic to your site. My suggestion is read some threads here at DP so you dont have to
ask old questions and can get a better idea of what it takes to promote a new site.

The aim of the site is not to generate masses of traffic, its to build up good backlinks so i get a good PR at the next update. SEOing is not vital for me (although all my pages are SEOd) as im not looking for the traffic, im looking to build up links quickly in time for the update.

This is not the 1st site i have worked on, but it is the 1st site where i have come across this problem......hence the post!!

But if you must die for it then i suggest linking to other poker gambling betting sites ect ect with established PR6s and also add good content

Im thinking you might be late this round though since the snapshot Probably already took place (usually 1 month before it rolls out on the toolbar)

the sites only been designed to be a quick money spinner, not a long term project. obviously my views and techniques would be totally different if this was the case!

(sorry just didnt want ya to get into hot water)

Anyway like i said above...
the snapshot probably already took place but you just never know so... (try finding in link sales Tonite!)

There are too many reasons for Google indexing . In the first time suggest you public your site to many google popular refresh sites.
