Hello, We have a main web site that targets US customers - www, widgets, com . the site is around 4 months old. We also have a couple of local sites, for targeting other markets - www, widgets,ca (hosted on Canada server), www, widgets,co,uk (hosted on UK server), and so on. these sites are very new (less than 1 month) I have 2 questions: 1) www, widgets, com was ranking on Google USA results on 5th page, and now it isn't ranking at all. It is ranking well on google,ca. It is on a Canadian server, but there is a US address on the contact page, and US-based links pointing to it. I am switching it to a US server on Monday (anyone have an idea how long it will take for Google to realize that?), and hope that will help. Is there anything else I can do? Why would it show up on Google, com USA results for 2+ months, and then just stop showing up on Google, com USA results out of no where? I haven't made any changes that would make it "less relevant" to US customers, but for some reason Google thinks that. Any suggestions on what i should do to get us back into the US listingS? I also set up a Webmaster account on google webmaster tools and set our site to USA. 2) is there any safe way to set it up so that when a user from a Canaidan IP comes to www, widgets, com, it re-directs them to www, widgets,ca , without getting penalized by Google? Note that www, widgets,ca is also being SEO'd at the same time, if that makes any difference. Thanks for everyone's help
I have a similar problem, but all my sites, everything is in the USA, its not a hosting issue, something else is happening here.
