Hi Does anyone have a problem login into their dreamhost server today ? All my websites are blank and cannot login Cheers
no i have 3 of ny websites with dreamhost no problem on any of them, maybe your shared server is experiencing some problem not all servers
well seems they added the reason as well so you can restassure the server you are on is getting fixed.
more than 1 server and only certain one on maintance or your accounts alrady been resetup & transferred
1 of my sites have been down for the last 10 hours I guess, but the rest stands firmly to their ground. It's the 2nd time for this month. Maybe they are coming to their limit to dealing with a gigantic base of users equally well.
they were working on the servers .... problem solved. I think i missed the newsletter to in form us about it
I was with DreamHost, and in the beginning, all was well. Then, downtime-o-rama. Literally like a yo-yo. This all happened, oh, a few months back perhaps. I saw the writing on the wall and abandoned ship. But, that seems to be a problem with mega hosting sites, where you can get terabytes for a buck. Not to be OT (sorry, mates, if I am), but IS there a host who offers a balance of quality along with decent bandwidth/storage allotments? Since sites are now so user interactive (especially with audio and video), I am surprised at how hard this is to find.
I was rather angry at them for doing this. Yeah they posted it a week ago on their RSS feed and their status website.. but honestly should every customer have to read that? Ugh. If you're taking a huge webhost down for 12 hours.. something proactive would have been nice.
IXwebhosting sent me an email today reminding me that they are doing their "big datacenter move" this weekend (up to 48 hrs downtime) but I'm glad that they contacted me at least.
Yet again !!!!!! all my websites are down once again. This is the message i get today: Site Temporarily Unavailable We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this. error id: "bad_httpd_conf"
In case you haven't got your site working, you can find more info on it at their wiki: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Bad_httpd_conf
