    Hi!

I sell downloadable infoproducts. If a customer wants to download bigger files it fails. The problem appears files bigger than appr. 200 MB.
The download simply stops and seems to be completed but the file is broken.
I noticed that during the download process the browser can't show how big the file is and how much time remaining.
Sometimes, a download manager solve the problem is the customer use one but not every time.
I use cPanel and I have DLGuard download manager.

    Please help

Is it dedicated server?? You need to check your server portal speed to increase download speed. Litespeed webserver may help to download files portal. Try to tweak the server if your server have good configuration.

Yes, this is a dedicated server. I only have WHM access. How can I setup these things that you mentioned?

Ask your server admin to check server configuration and its current settings.

Using shared servers always risks download problems.
You could use a free screencast account http://www.screencast.com/pricing.aspx - 2Gb downloads for your first few downloads a month or pay them $9.95 for up to 200Gb. This is cheaper than Amazon S3 while you get started, but starts to get more expensive over 200Gb / month

Another alternative is to split up your files into smaller chunks - I used to use a program called Chainsaw, which still seems to be available: http://www.brothersoft.com/chainsaw-8796.html Only problem with this is that your users will need a copy to reassemble the chunks into a single file

If DLGuard is PHP you should check your PHP time-out values. I'm not sure how that particular app works, but if it streams via PHP, you are subject to PHP time out values. If you cannot figure it out, hit me up on PM, I'm willing to take a peek for free (I need rep :).

wpconfig is right, if you are streaming through PHP then it must be a timeout issue.
