Problems with .CA names

Recently we had to transfer a few .ca names, godaddy make this a 2 week process with over 15 emails being exchanged. It was an absolute joke, godaddy's support staff provided us with a different reason in each email.

Eventually we fixed the issue on our own, however after 7 years of dealing with godaddy we have noticed a huge difference in their quality of support and are considering moving our 500+ domains elsewhere.

Anyone encountering problems with godaddy lately?

Moving .ca names between registrars is not easy and I believe requires cira.ca paperwork. GoDaddy only became a .ca registrar a couple of months ago and may not be very experienced with it yet.

I tried godaddy for the first time only a month or so ago. I don't like their set up, at all. click here, click some more, click again all just to change DNS. Pain in the you know what. I bought 2 .ca domains from godaddy just to try them out as a registrar.

I prefer namecheap.com. Always go back to them too.
and I prefer hostgator.com for hosting

The service and the price is the most important for me .
If the price is too high , I think it is meaningless for us to invest the money to it .

I buy all my .ca from Netfirms and change my DNS to whypark. Netfirms are fairly slow at DNS changes but no other probs yet. All other websites are bought at Godaddy. Once you get used to Godaddy they have alot to offer.
