Problems with BANS homesite?? Hacked?

    I'm trying to get to the BANS website using a bookmark that I always use. When I get to the URL http://buildanichestore.com/ , I'm getting to a website for "Nationwide Internet Banking" (although the title on the tab in the browser says "Nationwide Building Society".

    Think BANS was hacked, or is the problem on my end?

    I'm seeing the same thing that you are.

    A similar thing happened to me a while ago, my host had screwed up their DNS and my domain was showing someone elses site. Hopefully it's something similar and nothing serious.

    it appears that way from my end too...

    if you click the links on the left it opens bans site in a frame.

    that page is a phishing page, i entered some phony details and it wanted me to setup my verification questions.

    lame.

    I'm beginning to wonder about the BANS guys. When I was logging into one of my sites earlier this week their site was also down and affecting one of the admin pages

    Yes, I saw the edit button, but when I pressed it it opened up another little window, so I thought all I could do was add another message. I know that's not what 'edit' means , but I wasn't sure what else to do, so I just added another message.

    How do you actually get back in to edit your own message?

    You can edit your posts for certain amount of time after you've made them. If you're really fast, nobody will notice, if you take your time you'll get an "edited at xx:xx" kinda thing at the bottom of your post. If you're really slow, you won't be able to edit your post at all.

    I generally post before I think, and then have to edit my posts once I've read what the thread's actually about :p :eek: :p

    Could their site being down effect commisions? For several days now I haven't made any commisions off my BANS sites. I was getting commisions nearly every day. :confused:

    I'm not a BANS user, but as far as I know, BANS sites are totally independent of buildanichestore.com - so it won't have any impact on your commissions.
