http://beta.search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx It keeps telling me "Please enter a valid URL with the format: http://www.example.com/" Anyone else having this issue?
yea its been doing it for about 2 weeks now to me.. it was fine before that.. i even tried submitting http://www.msn.com/ and got the same message.. lol mabye http://www.example.com would work jk
They are apparently on the case. This just in - We are aware of this problem, and it is not affecting your site alone. We discovered an error in the programming that submits URL's to our search engine and we are in the process of fixing it. In the next few days you will be to go to the site http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx and submit your URL again. We will process the site through our anti-spam and content filters and include the site and rank it appropriately. The entire process should take about 2 weeks to complete, but may take longer depending on the number of pages in your domain, the content, how the page was written, and other factors. Let's see. "next few days" seems fairly optimistic
Yes, and their first line support immediately sent it 'up the chain' which suggests that they are aware of the problem.
i just tried the uk server http://search.msn.co.uk/docs/submit.aspx and its having the same problem so i guess we will have to wait..
Hey, Just found this topic via Google. I personally done use MSN, but a few people pointed out that while my site was on Yahoo! and Google - it was not appearing on MSN. I have the same problem and sent the issue in as feedback - this was a few weeks ago though. Shame to see it taking so long to fix it.
I've been tearing my hair out with this problem. I've tried different browsers, different computers, different OS, different times of the day, even tried getting someone else in another country to try for me. I guess the only thing to do is keep trying (and check back here to see if anyone else has has any success). Can we start a sweepstake to guess how long it will take?
i'm having the same problem. i guess its taking them longer than 2 weeks to fix then? i suppose we'll just have to be patient.
Even the above url is having the same trouble. I have been tearing my hair from past few weeks to submit to msn, a few client sites, however till date no luck If someone succeeds please do post how you have been able to do so.
I think we have to wait ,wait and still waiting. Since problem is not solved. May be in few weeks it will be resolved
Submitting a page only tells the search engine where a page is. The problem is that MSN has dropped the pages that are being crawled - ie it knows about the url but doesn't want to index them-. So I don't think submit would help that much.
msn is always the last one to pick up my website.. i don't even know how to submit to it properly..ha
Hooray I have been checking back frequently and have just been able to submit my site to Live Search. Get in quick before everything crashes!!! It will be interesting to see how long it takes to index my pages. Jon
