Problems in seeing new site after DNS change

I'm having a slight problem and I wonder if someone can please help.

I had a domain parked with Trafficz.com. Yesterday I deleted the domain from Trafficz and changed my GoDaddy name servers to reflect the new DNS. The DNS change has resolved because others can see the new site. I can't. I can see the new page if I use an anonymous surfing site but I can't see it if I use my browsers running off a direct connection to the Internet. All I see is the old Trafficz.com parked page. I've tried clearing cookies, cache and history in Firefox, IE and Netscape, I've also flushed XP's DNS cache using "ipconfig /flushdns". I've reconnected to my ISP, which has given me a completely different IP address. No matter what I try I still see the old Trafficz.com parked page ... even thought the name servers are pointing to a different location. I can even click on links on the parked page and go to secondary pages that I haven't accessed before, which clearly tells me the pages aren't coming out of a cache on my PC.

    What am I missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DNS change may take upto 48 hrs for different areas on the globe.

Try using OpenDNS for quick updates and bypass your ISP's DNS.

It's not a DNS problem. The DNS has definitely changed. Everyone else can see the new site .... except me. It's either a problem with my browsers (all three) or my PC. I've tried clearing cookies, cache and history in Firefox, IE and Netscape, I've also flushed XP's DNS cache using "ipconfig /flushdns". I've reconnected to my ISP, which has given me a completely different IP address. No matter what I try I still see the old Trafficz.com parked page ... even thought the name servers are pointing to a different location.

agnivo007 is right. It can still be a DNS problem. It takes up to 48 hours for DNS changes to propagate through all the DNS servers around the world.

When I make DNS changes I can usually see the changes within an hour, but people in other parts of the country may not see the changes until the next day. I must be close to the primary DNS server that GoDaddy passes the changes to.

Be patient. If you do not see the changes today, you may have to dig deeper.

Thanks to agnivo007 and TechEvangelist for their replies. I'm still sweating on the change to occur but I'll take your advice and give it a while longer. Never had this happen before like this.

Agreed with above. It could be that your isp has some kind of longer caching or doesn't update their dns as fast.

    hang tight
