Problem with spam

One of my phpld 2.1 directories is getting lots of spam, someone is submitting the same site deeplinks over and over again, I think it is some kind of automated submitter, even though I am not sure how they get past captcha image.
Any ideas how to get rid of it? Emails are all fake, maybe I should contact their hosting?

If you've got $$$ your better off either upgrading phpLD or (i believe) getting An0ns solution to the problem!

Nope not really just that it has extra hard captcha's which even normal humans cannot get it right the first 2 to 5 tries. :D

actually, have u considered that it might be the reply email (when you reject his submissions) that is triggering the spam?

I am always having problems with someone submitting forum threads with nude links in them. I checked the IP --and its always different. Some kind of automated software --I guess:rolleyes:

I am planning to upgrade the script after the update. But right now I just quitely delete them.

Yeah I would just upgrade, the software is only like 25 bucks so why not. The free version is fine when your starting out but you gotta upgrade eventually.

You are being targeted and or spoofed...

    No capta will stop that...
    No registartion will stop that...
No upgrading will phpld will stop that...

I suggest you spend a few dollars and upgradr to 3.xx anyway
then go ahead and have an0n install his mod for the contact page
and also the submittion field... a fast solution for a few dollars...

    thx
    malcolm
