My first site is a regular Linux account and not a WP site.

    1. The files have HTML in them (they should not)... check the source of the pages.

    2. Neither have the full verification string... it should start with "digitalpoint-ad-verify"

The setup page should give you what you need to copy/paste into the file exactly.

As long as your DNS servers update instantly on their end, it's instant (basically it's just dependent if your DNS servers lag with going live with changes).

All it said was create the MAIN file 1655465465135465.html whatever OR repoint my DNS to the "digitalpoint-ad-verify" with the #'s

Why can't it verify like my first site did?

Not sure... it should be the same process. Are you sure it doesn't give you the contents of the file to use?

AFTER it 'DP' denied site verification it never put the instructions up again so I wouldn't know the answer to that. On my first site "LINUX" I created the .html file with the same # inside the file. It was verfied. BOTH my WP sites were done the same way and I can access these webpages but DP is and cannot verify them. I was to assume there was something else I needed to do BECAUSE they were WP sites.

No, it should be no different... if you go to the add/edit site page you should see the instructions for verification under the form (it gets added as soon as you enter the domain in your form).

I guess its a cache issue because mine only loaded the instruction the very first time I tried to verify BOTH these sites. Its really wierd!

That string was for the DNS process. The other was was to just ADD this page to your site so they could see it. There was no specific instruction to add the string into the html page. cSHOULD I try to put this inside the HTML page?

Hmmm... it should show the verification instructions after you enter the domain in the forum (since the verification is unique to the domain). What browser/version/operating system are you using?

Hrmmm... really not sure to be honest. I just fired up IE8 on XP and went to add a site and the verification shows up under the form as soon as I add a domain. If the verification didn't show up for you, are you using the same verification string from your first site? That's never going to work since the verification string is unique to each site.

I'm thoroughly confused then. You said you didn't get an verification instructions/info for the 2nd and 3rd site. Where did you get the verification file contents/hash if it wasn't from the first site?

    Good Morning
The process was the same for all three. When I first put in the domain name it gave me the unique 'hash tag', or whatever it is, WITH instructions to either (1) upload the HTML file OR (2) change the DNS (both with same 'hash string'). I do not want to mess with my DNS so I uploaded the three DIFFERENT and DISTINCT html pages they wanted me to.

It was in these pages, I created, that I put the same string of characters and numbers as the actual NAME of the HTML file. The 1st one got verified and #2&3 did not. I was thinking it has something to do with the 2nd and 3rd being WP sites, but I DON'T KNOW.
