Hi all, I am hoping some one can help me with a SEO problem i am experiencing. I was hired by a company to do SEO work for them to help them "Push down" some bad press items that were ranking highly for organic search terms. When ever you googled the specific term we were working on the bad press items were listed 3rd and 4th. About a week and a half ago, those bad press listings disappeared completely, no where in site, not even within the first 30 pages, never mind page 1. I was excited to see this but it didnt seem right. I took a screen shot of the new listings and held on to them before going to the client, just in case. A week and a half went by and the listings were still gone. I took a more up to date screen shot and sent it to my client with the good news. No sooner did I hit send on that email, did the listings appear again. What gives? What would cause them (other than spidering) to disappear and then reappear after some time... Any help is greatly appreciated!
Probably a combination of the two. I do know that Google's PageRank toolbar is due for an update soon, and Google tends to update their databases (and sync them together) just prior to the update.
