Hello! I' ve just launched a new project, http://antwoordnu.nl/ The problem however is that the meta descriptions i add in All in One SEO do not appear om Google. Does anyone know how i can fix that in Wordpress?

The 1 with the right solution will get a dollar on Pay Pal!

obviously because u have double descriptions! <meta name="description" content="" /> and one for all in one seo, it makes a conflict. should always stick to 1.

and no.. we are cheap, but not that cheap! u should donate your dollar to charity that what i would do ;)

That' s strange O; how can there be double? I' ve installed all in One Seo and i used them to add it. I have these plugins working:

    XML sitemap
    WP auto responder
    Ultimate GA
    Robots Meta
    Comment Math Protection

I think i just fixed the problem by disabling some SEO settings on my templates, is that right?

I read awhile back, on ONE of the plugins, I think it was SEO Ultimate, but maybe All-In-One has this feature also...it SEO Ultimate, there's a setting that tells Google NOT to display meta description from Yahoo and DMOZ directories, but to use yours instead. Maybe that's where your "mystery" description is coming from.

correct. just use one SEO tools. then optimized it, coz you don't have to install it by many seo tools. don't forget, even though you have content on the page itself, it can become nebulous or diffused. use your default meta description so that when people are searching for relevant shingles (keywords combined) that your page has a clear snippet in the SERPs (search engine result pages).
    thanks

I know that works with All-In-One SEO. It takes a while for Google to crawl your site and update the meta description, but it will take yours instead of Yahoo of DMOZ.

You have to remember that the meta description has to be relevant to the search query. I the meta description is about "xyz" and your site ranks for "abc" Google will ignore your meta description and will take a snippet of your page that supports "abc".
