Problem with registrars

    Is there any recourse when you have a domain stolen other than spending
    1500 My impression is that ICANN will not do anything

    That depends if it was really "stolen" to begin with. Do you mean you paid and
    registered the domain name under your name, then it was transferred to a 3rd
    party without your authorization but hasn't expired yet when that happened?
