Problem with phplinkdirectory installation

Hi,

After installing phplinkdirectory, I am not able to login to the admin control panel. it says invalid user name and password.
What can be wrong.. Its the right password I used..

 

it could be anything.. I have installed the directory without any problem. If you could describe your peoblem may be I could help.

 

The installation is smooth, but problem comes when I try to login to admin panel. It says invalid user name and password.
The same installation I tried in my local system, but a windows system with IIS.
Remote server is Linux and on Apache.

 

I had the same problem with my this Directory which came 2 times when i installed the script.
Finally on 3rd installation it worked.
If felt my problem was regarding some 777 permissions or may be script installations.
Anyway better try to reinstall the Directory

write permissions are required for the temp folder. That was set. Any other you can point out?

 

The only problem I had was when I forgot to fill in the details in the setup

 

I tried almost 3 times yeterday night and I am at work half sleepy because of this
Need to sort this out somehow.
PHPLD 2 is the version I used, the one which is available for free download.

Anybody else have the installation which is working without any problem?

 

I would recommend you the latest 3.0Version which costs only 25$ and is worth that.
Still if you need to reinstall it do PM me i will install 2.0 for you.

Where did you get your hosting?

 

Its in Hostgator
I have another hosting account in other place as well. let me try there also to confirm whether it is specific to server.

 

Yep better try with a new host or any other host.
If it still continues try out with the phplinkdir support forums

 

seolion, are you installing it with firefox? try installing it while using internet explorer and you may get it working

 

I thought you are installing using Cuteftp or any ftp software
Never knew we can do this with Browsers lol

 

The problem is sorted out now..
The issue was the installer was unable to work on the database properly. It didn't create any tables, so obviously it was showing invalid user name and password.
I have fixed it by installing it in another host and doing a database dump.
