Problem with Permalink. Please HELP!!!

I am having problem with url of my website. I want to remove the tag from the url
For Example the permalink i am getting is www.example/tag/postname.com
and what i want is www.example/postname.com
Please help

Goto permalink setting page and type /%postname%/ .Then Save. Thats it.

 

I have already done that but it does not solve the problem
The problem which I am getting is from the search result, it takes the user to other pages
I have installed seo plugin by yoast can it create any problem??

 

i'm not sure... But I think the yoast sep plugin has an option to override your permalinks... So that could be your problem, look through all of its options and see if it has an option clicked to interfere.

 

You've probably set something in the Yoast settings that is overriding your permalink structure.

I did some changes in seo yoast plugin and now it doesnt shows post name also
for example if you search for Top 5 Gaming Smartphones the permalink should be http://geeksdigital.com/top-5-gaming-smartphones/
but in the search result it is showing geeksdigital.com/

I believe this is how tags word. Please notice that the '/tag/' bit is added not before the post name but before the tag category. Is that right?

Avoid using tags for best SEO results. As for search pages getting indexed, see if you can find an option in the settings of your SEO plugin.
