Problem with Password protecting Webalizer stats folder on Godaddy

    OS - Fedora Core 4
    Simple control Panel

I cannot seem to hide my usage stats i.e. www.mydomain.com/usage

First I thought I need to password protect the usage folder. So I put .htaccess file in usage asking for username / password but didn't work. (Usage folder exists but is practically empty).

Then I ran some searches on the server and found that all the log files are in root/var/log/httpd folder.

So what am I doing wrong here?

You need to figure out where the webalizer html documents are and password protect that directory.

What hosting package are you using? I have the free stats on a deluxe account and those can be password protected through their control panel

My stats folder has a file named .statspwd which holds the account information needed to access those files.
