Problem with Nameserver or Google Index?

Please I'm seeing strange results in google search. I am on a VPS and It appears google is indexing my nameserver. i have two nameservers ns1.mysite.com and ns2.mysite.com but ns1.mysite.com is the main nameserver. yesterday i found out that ns1.mysite.com is appearing in google results. for example, there is this page "food.php" on my site. under normal circumstances, only mysite.com/food.php should appear in search results. However, ns1.mysite.com/food.php is also appearing in search results. The amazing thing is that, ns1.mysite.com/food.php and mysite.com/food.php have the same google pagerank. I contacted my host and they told me there is nothing wrong with the dns settings. should I 301 redirect ns1.mysite.com to mysite.com using htaccess or is there a better way of fixing this problem? thanks

I have never seen this. This sounds like a Google bug (or a bug elsewhere), you'd be best off posting this on the Google support forum. Let us know in this thread what you find out! :)

yea it seems very weird. my traffic is a little bit down and I don't know if this is causing the drop in traffic. I posted it in google support forum but so far no answer.

    I don't think its a error from Google's end.
Try setting your nameserver provided by your host and update it at your domain's registrar. Also, remove the nameservers from your server's DNS.
When the new nameserver fully propagates (usually within a day), try opening ns1.mysite.com/food.php in your browser and see what happens.

Google will only index links that Googlebot finds, I doubt that the problem has anything to do with them.
Regardless of what your hosting people say, it's more likely that something is misconfigured on their end.

A redirect would be the best solution until you can determine the real problem.

Have you had any other issues with your VPS hosting. You may want to retrace and analyze any data
that you input when you initially setup your VPS.

Good reply :) I would like to give a green and wondering I cannot do it, even spread to 10 others already. Weird
