i have liten from my friend that CPR greater then 1% and low impressions are dangerous, today i saw my history of page imp and ctr, Please see it and tell me is it is ok Today Impressions: 12 Clicks: 1 Ctr: 8.33% Yesterday Impressions: 178 Clicks: 13 Ctr: 7.30% All Time Impressions: 42,112 Clicks: 1,473 Ctr: 3.50%
ha ha.not at all.greater than 1% is dangerous?do not worry.i have seen people's CTR go as high as 35 % and more some times. You are safe as long as the ad placement are ok and complying with the policies - just think if the human evaluation of your site would be ok and you are very safe.Banning would never be solely based on ctr value !!
OK, but what if I have a CTR of 145%? I loged in today in my adsense accoutn and I saw 11 impressions 16 clicks CTR: 145% What am I supposed to do in this case?
That's not true. Low traffic site get high CTR is normal. For website with 100k traffic to get 100% CTR is impossible, but for the website with 2 traffic get 100% CTR is happening. Dont worry on the CTR if the clicks are natural click
My CTR is around 2 - 3% percent most of the times, during the bad times is below 2% I read that if your CTR is not more than 20% you are perfectly safe
I took care of it. Probably the best thing was too inform Google, but i asked some of my friends to visit mysite and just hit refresh for a few times. Now I'm at 33% CTR, so I think it's all good. And my site has low traffic too.
High CTR with low impressions dangerous?????!!!!!! I'm sorry but either your friend really doesn't know PPC enough to be giving someone advice, or they don't have your best interests in mind. Your CTRs are great! However, the thing you want to keep in mind is not necessarily which keywords have the highest CTR, but which keywords have the highest conversion rate! Sales and/or adsense clicks are what you are after. Track which keywords bring those in and focus on those, even if they have a lower click through rate.
what the user does after the click is also something they can check and see. If they just click and close the other site immediately, it will seem fishy to them and ban you. If the guy who clicked stays on that site and clicks another few links, you're good. It means it was genuine
Concentrate on complying with the rules and not on CTR etc, as long as you are playing safe, you will remain safe.
The last advice is correct as long as you keep to the rules you should be fine. Don't try to make things right, by creating false impressions it might get you in trouble with Google. Just keep everything real and you should be alright. Be pleased that you're getting good CTR's and enjoy.
That's absolutely right. Compliance with the rules is must when it comes to Adsense. If you go by the book then you are definitely safe.
The more targeted your content, the better your CTR. Before ****ing Dreamhost ruined me, some of my extremely targeted blogs where getting 70%+ CTR.
From my experience, if something you're not sure about happens with you site then contacting google is the best thing to do. Their CS team is very helpful if you are proactive with a problem.
