Well, I have a home made DVD about 7min. I converted it to .mpg in order to upload to a video sharing site. Here some strange things happen.

I got MPG but when I play it on my computer with Windows Media Player it has no sound. Then I upload this mpg to a video sharing site and the sound works. The problem is that I need to cut off a couple of minutes from the mpg. When I do so with Ulead Video studio and save it again in MPG then upload it to video sharing site the sound is gone. Please help.

Do you need a better codec maybe?

You may want to try and import the VOB or mpeg in to ULead and then output it as an AVI before trying to do any editing with it., then import that AVI to edit.. Mpeg can be a pain to edit sometimes.. If I ever have to import something of a DVD for editing, I always convert to DV AVI first, then edit the AVI, then output to desired format.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers

you are possibly missing a codec or two, try installing some codec packs such as klite mega codec pack ... hxxp://www.codecguide.com/download_mega.htm
