Problem with Lynx ! Apache Server Error ?? help !!

    Hello Experts

    I am facing a problem with my existing host. When ever I open my site in Lynx it gives me such error.

       
       Not Acceptable
       An appropriate representation of the requested resource / could not be
       found on this server.
       Additionally,  a  404  Not Found error was encountered while trying to
       use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.   
        Apache Server at dewshare.com Port 80
    
    Code (markup):
    Simply I am unable to see my websites in Lynx I am using Joomla and Date life engine . Due this reason my traffic from search engines are getting lost

    Please help me and suggest me what to do to correct this problem.

    I shall be thank full to you. :)

    Your server appears to be reacting specificly to the Lynx User-Agent HTTP Request header. Even using wget with a Lynx header triggers this.
    Unless search engines for some strange reason start sending a Lynx User-Agent header, this shouldn't have any effect on them.

    If you don't see any visitors using Lynx in your access logs, you can safely ignore it.
    Otherwise, you'll have to find out where on the server the check for Lynx is being done and work around it. I couldn't replicate it using a brand new install of the latest version of Joomla.

    This is a mod_security ruleset which you'll need to speak with your host about. They can add an exception for a specific folder/domain so that mod_sec rules are ignored. I strongly doubt there's anything you can do yourself, unless you're the hoster of your site.

    This won't (at least shouldn't) affect SE bots from visiting your site :)
