Hello there, When I type “mysite.com†in Google page I see that my site is listed but when I type www.mysite.com I see no results (no matching words). I see same no matching words found when I type http://www.mysite.com. Why is that? Thanks
Depends - does the URL indexed by Google appear on the SERPs as http://yoursite.com or http://www.yoursite.com? If you type in http://yoursite.com into your address bar, does it redirect you to the www version? If not, you may need to set up a 301 redirect to tell Google that you want to use the www version. You are searching for the phrase "www.mysite.com". If this phrase isn't on your page and you don't have a lot of links with www.mysite.com as the anchor text it won't show up.
Thank you very much for your replies. I submitted my URL again to google with http://www. (again) and now it comes up with www.mysite.com but still not with http://mysite.com or http://www.mysite.com. I thought if I have index file, I dont need to have/write http://www.mysite.com on my page to be shown in google search results. thanks for your help.
