Problem with htaccess file

While implementing htaccess file to www.photoshopsociety.org, I found that search engines like bing are not able to crawl website and displayed an error "Permanently redirected".

Simply I was trying to redirect non www (http://photoshopsociety.org) pages to www (http://www.photoshopsociety.org) and want to redirect 404 error pages to home page.

Please suggest..

 

i would suggest you use:

ErrorDocument 404 http://www.photoshopsociety.org/
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R]
</IfModule>
