Bug Problem with Google Analytics here?

Whenever I navigate between sections on this site my Firefox browser goes into an endless load loop and the message line says loading Google Analytics. If I stop the page load and refresh, I get the target page.

I am running Firefox 6.0.2 on Windows 7.

I originally signed up here through Facebook, which exhibited similar behavior. I have cancelled the Facebook connection. The Google Analytics infinite loading is without any connection to Facebook and with me logged out of Facebook.

Nope, just checked everything and it seems to be working okay (both on the user side as well as logging stats within Google Analytics).

Any possibility you could try a different browser to see if whatever is going on for you is something specific to your browser?

It sounds like you might have some overaggressive malware/privacy blocking software or firewall running. There are some software out there that will block HTTP requests to sites you aren't currently on.

I logged on with Chrome with no problems moving to the product page, etc. I have an ad blocker running with Firefox I realized when I came here with chrome and saw all the ads.

Also as I started to log in I noticed that chrome was remembering my real name here instead of screen name so I thought there might be a conflict on a broken registration with two registrations on the same email or ip address.

We are running Google Analytics on our vBulletin site (3.8.4 and 4.1.5) and my Firefox configuration works just fine there. I will do some more checking on just how the ad blocker works on my Firefox browser.

Well just as a quick test you might try Firefox with the ad blocker disabled just to see if that is indeed the issue.

I disabled ad block plus in Firefox, but there is still something wrong.

In Chrome, there are no problems with Firefox, I think I can navigate with the navbar to blog, articles and advertising, but the product, tools and marketplace tabs give the endless load behavior. The load message at the bottom of the screen is usually from Google Analytics, but sometimes it is i.digitalpoint...etc. and rarely it is facebook. This looks like a problem with the web services interface to those servers to me with possibly some timer not getting handled properly. Do you record or authenticate on those page transitions?

I cannot copy the messages, but maybe I can generate screen shots if you want/need them.

I browsed around a bit with Firefox and haven't seen any of the issues you are seeing with it yet. It sounds like your Firefox is choking on multiple network connections (different servers) for some reason (regardless of the server). BTW - i.dpstatic.com is on the same physical server and even the same IP address as forums.digitalpoint.com.

Maybe a DNS issue with the DNS servers you are using? Are you using public or private DNS servers for resolution?
