Problem with folder in Windows XP start up ???

    Can anyone please explain to me why :- the folder "COMMON" come up only on start up?
    This folder is located in C:\Program Files

    I would like not have this happen,so I am in need of help to stop it please

    I have looked in MSCONFIG & cannot see anything relating to C:\Program Files\Common

    I think more information is needed to help you solve your problem. Are you talking about the Common Files folder? Does it actually pop open on your screen when you start up your computer? It was a little hard to understand what you are trying to accomplish....

    Thanks for your reply.

    Sorry if it was confusing,but get frustrated when it happens !

    What actually happens:
    When I start (turn on) the computer, the folder named "Common" which is a yellow folder,actually pops up on the screen.You then have to close this folder in order to go to the main screen.

    Yes everything that you say is correct

    What I want to accomplish is;for this not to happen
