Hi Again. I'm having a problem here. I just installed FileMaker Pro version 5.5 on my Windows 98se machine. I have java support installed as well. When i double click on my FM icon to launch it, it starts to load, but then it stops and i get the following error message "FILEMAKER PRO caused an exception 10H in module JVM.DLL at 0167:6d685abe." I have tried to research this error on the internet via Google, but i'm unable to find the exact error and resolution. Is there someone out there that can help me with this? I have tried it on 2 different machines both running Windows 98se and get the same error on both. I have also tried it on a Windows 2000 Pro machine and it works perfectly. Here is the weird thing that i have discovered... i can actually run FM on the 98 machines if i don't have Optigold installed. Without Optigold installed on the computers, i can open FM with no errors. As soon as i install Optigold, i get the error. Can someone help me with this? Thanks!
Thanks for your reply. I had the newest version of Sun Java's Runtime Enviroment. I think it was 1.4.2 or something. Anyway, i uninstalled it and in it's place i installed an older version of the JRE. It was version 1.2.2. This fixed my problem. Everything is working properly at this time. Thanks again!
