    Hello Designers.

    Need some help.

We are making some design in Adobe illustrator and trying to export the final design in PSD format. But we are getting flatten files in PSD and all layers are not exporting from AI to PSD.

We tried to analyze the issue and figure out that the problem is due to drop shadow effect in AI.

If we remove the drop shadow layer in AI then it's exporting successfully to PSD.

But it doesn't serve the purpose, we need to export the complete design including drop shadow layer to PSD.

Any designer have any solution of this problem? Please suggest.

Hmm. Check to see if you have the latest version illustrator and photoshop version first. But there are many ways something like this could still happen. I doubt you export the files wrong as long you don't have the "flat image" checked under the option when you export. I don't know what to tell you, I know you can do drop shadow on the layers in Photoshop if that help.

Filter work differently in AI and PS , so try giving shadow in PS to get it in PSD. I think it will work fine.
