Problem with Ebay

Discussion in 'Commission Junction' started by Des, Jan 23, 2006.

I recently tried using ebay affils on one of my site. But when I try to make a link to a specific ebay page by using their Flexible Destination Tool it gives me an invalid link.

    The format looks like this:

    anrdoezrs.net/click-241234124-5463217?loc=http%3A//cgi.ebay.com/product-blaba29128281r821

When I click the output it gives page not found.

Anyone knows of a solution or another way to link to certain items at ebay using the CJ affiliate ID.

    Thanks in advance

Hmmm seems I have a problem with all the links generated by the CJ affiliate programs.

No matter what link or banner I try, it doesn't open. Looks like something is blocked...

Maybe Firefox with adblock installed (or other extension)?

Some sort of firewall related feature?

Can I post my ebay affiliate link here too and have everyone click it? :)

What software have you recently installed? Think back to when/if it worked and what you installed. A couple of years ago Kazzaa lite screwed with my hosts file to block cj.com took months to figure out why I could go to members.cj.com and not cj.com

Try another browser, like netscape or firefox. It is probably spyware taking over the link to give credit to someone else. If it's just IE then try running the free spyware checker in the Yahoo tool bar (from yahoo of course).

I think Sick may be right... I've been having the exact same problem today: when I create the links in IE they send me to a 404, but when I switched to Firefox it worked, for some reason.

Look in your windows host file, you'll probably find CJ url's are being blocked. I had the same issue on an XP system a long time ago, just had to edit the host file and all was good.

    HTH,
    Scott
