I've heard stories about changing registrars and private info being revealed in the process. I've got a problem with hundreds of domains. We want to move away from DBP to another registrar, but DBP is demanding the logins and passwords we don't have. Supposedly DBP sends an email with a password when you initially have the private service started. (for years whenever we bought a domain from No Daddy, we paid for privacy). Anyway, I can't get switching registrars initiated until I TURN OFF privacy which I don't want to do. I can't turn off privacy if I can't get into the DBP accounts, (we have many accounts supposedly, because we've purchased domains on many occasions). In order to change for DBP to change the passwords, we have to give all sorts of private information including proving our business entities, drivers licenses and more, and fill out paperwork. That isn't going to happen. It's as if we've been locked out of our own home and have to prove we're the homeowners by showing title, mortgage papers, drivers license, etc. Meanwhile, the "key maker" (DBP) is saying, "Well we made a key for you and left it in the shrubs when you bought the home." What am I to do about this? We want to get far away from No Daddy and DBP without having to prove we are who we are. Any help is appreciated. Coin
